  Published by accident -need to start website over. Keep domain name

  Hi @madamfeedesigns!

  There’s 2 methods for your current situation.

  Method 1
  You can make your site private for now so you won’t have to start completely from scratch and continue with what you have. If you wish to start fresh completely, move on to Method 2.

  You can change your site to private mode by going to your site settings. Under Privacy you’ll find the ability to make it Private. When your site is private, it will do the following:

  Private
  Your site is only visible to you and users you approve.

  Method 2
  If you wish to start your website over from scratch, you can either follow the instructions to empty your site or one of the staff can assist you. I’ll tag this with modlook just in case you decide to go with the latter.

  Question – I am developing a site but have not yet paid for domain and hosting -can I still continue?

  Please advise as this is my first website attempt :)

  Yes, you may have a free site as long as you wish. You’re technically using WordPress.com hosting for free.

  Currently, your website is http://madamfeedesigns.wordpress.com/ is what it is. If you wish to have http://www.madamfeedesigns.com, you’ll need to upgrade to a personal or higher plan. More on this at https://wordpress.com/pricing/.

  Having a personalized email will be dependent on how you obtained your domain. Information on adding an email can be found at https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/.

  No. When you upgrade, the domain will be merged with your current site (http://madamfeedesigns.wordpress.com/). Everything will look exactly the same. Only difference is the domain will be the newly mapped domain. In your case, it would probably be http://www.madamfeedesigns.com/.
