Cleaning up the blurb under a front page posting

Hi – I’m a newby at this and need some help. I’m using the lovely Freshy theme but when I publish a new post I don’t really want the big space under each post on the home page showing ‘edit, leave a comment, categories, tags’ before the next posting starts. I’d like this to be cleaner, and take up less space. Am I able to remove some of these fields (like catageories/tags) so I can bring the home page posts closer together? Can’t I have it so this information only appears under the page featuring the post itself rather than on the home page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First off, it would require the Custom Design upgrade to accomplish this via modifications to the CSS.

Freshy is a very old theme and has very minimalistic CSS as far as selectors go, so everything underneath the post is in a single selector. That means it is all or nothing. The leave a comment, categories, tags and edit link (which only you see when you are logged in), will all either have to stay or go away.

Ok, many thanks for the help. I’m not experienced enough to start playing around with custom design so I think I’ll live with it … for now. Cheers.
