You can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
bulk delete images & media http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit
Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >
http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#deleting-permanentlyIMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

Re: front page error message
You deleted the placeholder post.
Publish a post not a page and the error message will be gone.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/
