Clear gallery to create new gallery

  I am having trouble with Galleries. When I create a new post, all uploaded pictures go into one gallery. I thought I might be able to select specific pictures for a gallery by numbering them, but still includes all pictures in gallery. I have seen several questions about this, but not sure if there is a solution.

  Can you only create one gallery per post?
