  You also have the option to empty your site which will clear the content

  If you decide to delete your site please remember this

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

  I also suppose to share the empty-site documentation but it seems I have missed that.
