As the Administrator you will need to clean out the site yourself.

This will remove what needs to be removed; yet still retain your domain for you.

So then, what was the point of the “Start Over” section of the Settings menu? It said to Contact Support to clear the site, and linked me here…

@batmanjones88 Hi there, if you have only a few posts to remove, it will be fastest to follow the instructions in the support doc that @toniaslimm linked to on emptying your site.
However, if you have a lot of content (like hundreds of posts, pages, tags, comments, media, etc.) to clear out then please feel free to add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar for Staff attention and assistance.

It’s not just the content I wanted gone, I wanted all the settings I might have changed reset to default, like it was a fresh WordPress site, but without changing the address.
And I guess I’m not really understanding why there is even a link in the Settings to contact support to do it, which merely links to a public forum, instead of to actual support…
I guess I shouldn’t complain about something that in intrinsically free, but if a feature is there that doesn’t work the way it leads you to believe, I don’t understand why it is there in the first place. -
Hi again, when you click the Contact Support button, what happens next depends on whether you have a paid upgrade or not on the site you need help with. If you have a free site with absolutely no upgrades on it, then the button should route you to the Support search and finally the Community Forums. If you have upgrades, the button should bring you to a contact form to contact Staff. Here’s a bit more on Support options: https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/ Hope that helps clear things up.
If you need Staff to reset your site for you, go ahead and add the MODLOOK tag as I mentioned above.
