Hi there,
I don’t see any Tumblr connection on the importer for http://piynitsuj.wordpress.com/, so there is nothing for me to reset.
Are you speaking of a different site?
If this is the correct site, can you please describe exactly what you’re trying to do, and what’s happening, including the full text of any error messages you see?

I just reconnected the Tumblr account.
I am trying to connect and import content using this link/page:
https://piynitsuj.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=tumblrI see the following info on this page:
Tumblr Blog: Fatherhood: Year Two
URL: http://yipclanlegacy.com/
Posts Imported: 0 / 561
Drafts Imported: 0 / 1
Pages Imported: 0
Author: lajafamily
Action/Status: X Custom Domain
There is also another blog I have called Never a Bad Day Blog at https://trackyourhappy.tumblr.com/, the Import this blog button is active and working, but not for the blog I want.
The URL for the blog I want to import should be http://lajafamily.tumblr.com/ , not yipclanlegacy.com
I also see this message: As one or more of your Tumblr blogs has a Custom Domain mapped to it. If you would like to import one of these sites you will need to temporarily remove the custom domain mapping and clear the account information from the importer to import.
I have already removed the custom domain mapping, but still do not see the correct URL that should say http://lajafamily.tumblr.com/
Thank you for your help.

That is the correct site. I just added the the Tumble connection again.
It says I cannot import because of a custom domain name: yipclanlegacy.com
I have already removed the custom domain name, but see no changes in WordPress.
The URL to import should be: http://lajafamily.tumblr.com/, but it still says yipclanlegacy.com
Thank you for your help.

If you’re getting the custom domain error even after switching off the domain on Tumblr’s end, disconnect in the importer, go to the Apps section in Tumblr settings and remove WordPress there: https://www.tumblr.com/settings/apps
Then restart the import.

Hello again,
I have done this several times because I read the same thing in the support forums, but still get the custom domain error.
I disconnect the importer, I logout of WordPress, I remove the app access for WordPress in my Tumblr setting, then I log back into WordPress, and retry with the importing, but still get the ‘custom domain’ error.
Is there anything else that can be done?
Thank you,

Hi Justin,
It looks like you renamed piynitsuj.wordpress.com shortly after your last reply and are now importing to lajafamily.wordpress.com. An import appears to be in progress on lajafamily.wordpress.com but let me know if you are also running in to the same issue there.
-
Just to add — I’m only seeing https://lajafamily.tumblr.com/, not yipclanlegacy.com when visiting your Tumblr blog. So it appears the custom domain has been switched off on that end.

Hello,
I did rename it to lajafamily.wordpress.com
I did attempt an import, but it was not from the Tumblr blog that I want my posts and content from. It was another blog that never had and does not have a custom domain name. I just wanted to see if it would work. It did. It was from https://trackyourhappy.tumblr.com/
However, I am still having the same issues importing posts and content from my main Tumblr blog site. The custom domain name used to be yipclanlegacy.com
I have removed the custom domain name and have also changed the the site name to lajafamily.tumblr.com
I am still having the same issue. When I try to import the content from my main blog, it still says yipclanlegacy.com, even though I removed the custom domain name.
Please help.

I have reset the Tumblr importer for the site. Would you please try again to see if there’s any difference?
