I am unable to clear added lines in my blog. I also want to be able to move pictures around and put them next to each other, which I can’t currently do.

Your blog is empty: http://risingroads.wordpress.com/ so there is nothing for us to look at about what you are doing.
Because you are a 2 hour-old blogger here, I’d suggest that you study the beginning tutorial about using WordPress.com. Here is the link: http://learn.wordpress.com/get-started/
Here are some details from a long-time WordPress.com volunteer about aligning images and text: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/formatting-text-pt-1/
Setting the alignment of an image to left or right means that the rest of the content will wrap around. So:
a) The image needs to be at the beginning of the paragraph that should wrap around.
b) If you only want a short paragraph next to the image, and the rest of the text below the image, you need to add this after that paragraph:<div style=”clear: both;”></div>
Without seeing what you are trying to accomplish (failure or not), and without more details about what exactly you want to do, it’s difficult to provide specific assistance to solve your issue. Please feel free to provide more details so we volunteers can help.
