Clearing content?

  I want to completely overhaul this blog; preferably I would prefer to create a new account and keep my url (insightfuldelusions.wordpress.com) but this doesn’t appear possible. Apparently I can get the content wiped? If I can change the email on this account then a full reset including all settings would be great. I’d appreciate any help!

  I want to wipe everything as well – including site stats please. Why isn’t the automated option easier?

  You have two options for emptying blog content and retaining the blog URL.

  option 1
  Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog, you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

  bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

  option 2
  If you have lots of content and are willing to wait, Staff can empty the whole blog for you. That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

  If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, and you are prepared to wait then type modlook into the tags in the sidebar of this thread for Staff attention and post again to this thread to:

  (1) confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty;
  (2) confirm that you know content deletion is irreversible.
