  Hi,

  I would like to delete every from my blog, minus my login account/name etc and update it to a portfolio (new template design)

  Hi there. First, you don’t need to delete anything in order to change the theme. If that’s all you want to do, simply click on the Themes tab in the admin bar, dashboard or My Sites page and activate a new theme. That will instantly apply the new theme without touching your content. You might have to re-activate some widgets afterwards.

  You can easily clear your site of all content by following the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/ Note that emptying a site does not remove any theme customisations and does not reset your blog settings. Those have to be changed manually.

  If you prefer, staff can also do it for you, but please note that if staff clears your site it cannot be reversed.

  If you want staff to delete your content for you, please confirm in a reply to this thread and add the tag “modlook” in the tags area. Then make sure you’re subscribed to the thread and be patient while waiting for a reply.

  Thank you for your response.

  I’d like to clear it permanently and remove followers etc. The function of the site will change so i’d like to start fresh with the same site name.

  Hi Danny,

  If I empty your site, it won’t remove your site’s followers. It only removes the site’s content — your posts, pages, uploaded media, tags, and categories. Do you still want me to go ahead and do that for you?

  The only thing I want to keep is the site name.

  Is there a way to achieve this?

  Hi Danny,

  Another option you have is to change the site’s address. That moves everything from your site to a new address, and as long as you choose to keep the old address you’ll have a new, empty site you can start over with there. (That isn’t the intended purpose of that “change address” tool, but it’ll work for your purposes.)
