Click On Image To See Larger Size
-
Currently I upload photographs to the media library at 1480 pixels on the longest side. When I view them on my blog they are resized to 1100 pixels on the largest side.
What I would like to happen is if you click on a photograph it will be displayed in a new browser window at the 1480 pixels size. That way for those that are interested they can see a larger version of the photograph.
I have seen this happen on some blogs so there must be a way of doing it, but how?
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the link but I can’t see it answering my question. I do optimise my photographs for faster loading, file size is usually in the region of 100 to 200kb.

Hi Mike, Let me know if you are using the new block editor or not, but in the Classic Editor, once you’ve added the image to your blog post or page, highlight the image and use the link button in the toolbar. The link to the original image should already be populated in the URL line and you can click the box to make it open in a new window. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need more help.
Hey @trupti25 please reply to the question being asked. Linking to a support doc only helps if it answers the question. If you don’t know the answer, it’s also OK to leave it for a more experienced forum volunteer to answer. It’s not about how many questions can you answer, but the quality of those answers. :) Again, you might want to have a look at our guide to volunteering in the community forums. You can find it at https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-com-volunteers/
