click to compress a sticky post, each time its read

    Hi, may be a simple question (I hope). My website is aiming to be a wildlife travel website, and I have a relatively long sticky post at the top (to do with this) of the page before anyone can get to the blog.

    It is not vast (consisting of a nested group of maps, and a list of image databases).

    What I am looking for, is something similar to the accordian (it may work as I require, but I could not work out how).

    What I want, is a button or similar, at the level of the top of the post, which can be clicked, in order to minimize the sticky post and therefore get to the blog posts quickly.

    Any ideas? As i say, i looked at the accordian, but this does not seem to do what I want. There is no need for memory, I am simply wanting to give a quick way to skip to the most recent post (which lies directly below the sticky post. However any time that page is opened again, it should open as before
