Clickable ad at my blog, unrelated to my content

  Hi. I can’t see the ad (I use Firefox), but in the stats today where it shows what links were clicked from my blog, there was an “ad” one. I clicked it and it brought me to an ad for finding or following people by using their phone number, I believe. Isn’t this illegal? Where did the ad come from? I don’t want this kind of thing on my site, a Christian site. Do I need to report this to WP staff? Thanks!
