Clickable Background Image

Is there anything I can add to CSS to make the background image of my website clickable?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We can all click “view background image” and view any background image on any site. We can click “view image info” as well. But if you are asking can you have a background image that redirects to another site the answer is no. The image must be uploaded into your Media library. You cannot link to an image that’s hosted on a third part site.

If you add a background image to a link, it will be clickable. While the background image itself isn’t clickable, you can make the link the size of the image so it essentially looks and acts like a link.
If you need further help, please provide a link to the blog you’re working on as well as the CSS you’ve tried so far or an explanation of what you’re trying to make clickable.
