Clicking on post image goes to page 404 not found

  Hi, when I click on post images, it goes to page 404 not found. Why? And how do I stop this? If the user clicks on the image, I just want it to take them to the post page, the same as if they click on the post headline.
  Oh wordpress I must say I’m having to struggle with every single thing, you don’t make it easy!

  Did you upload the image ie. is the image found in your blog in your Media Library? Or are you linking to an image that you did not upload and is not on WordPress.com servers? Please see > Uploading and inserting images: the three (plus one) link options

  Just made the image link to the post seems to have solved it.
