Clicking on Upload and entire computer locks up

I am trying to add photos to my blog and as of last night, when I click Upload button my entire browser stops working. It was working fine yesterday morning and I have over 52% of available download capacity available so what happened?

Hi there – Can you tell us more about what you are using to try to add photos to your blog? For example…
1. Which computer are you using? PC, Mac, etc.
2. Which web browser? Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.
3. How many browser windows or tabs do you have open when everything stops working?
Those should help get us started, and help us get a better understanding of what you’re working with.
If you have not tried logging in through a different web browser, we recommend trying that. Just as well, we recommend making sure your browser is updated to the latest version.

Hi and thanks for getting back to me – as it turns out, I figured out a “work around” … still puzzling because I historically could upload photos directly w/UPLOAD button. I ended up going into my Media Library and loading the photos into the library first and then inserting to the blog. Not sure why all the sudden that is the solution, but I guess that works!
I am using a desktop PC, w/Edge browser and there were maybe 4 tabs open at the time.

I noticed that you have two sites on your account, and one of them is actually at the upload limit. Is it possible that you were on the older site without realizing it? The reason I ask is because i see that you have a new draft post on that site (which has seen no activity in months) and if you were to try to upload to that site it would not work

Yes, you are correct , I inadvertently switched to the old site as I was working on the most recent blog entries but once I realized my mistake, I did have the same issue. (I will delete draft on old site.)

Hmm, you have this issue on your new (currently active) site as well? If so are you seeing an error message of some kind when you try to upload images to your blog posts? I’m not sure what you meant by “my browser stops working” so hoping to get a little more info about that.
Also, issues like this can often be specific to one browser but not affect others. With this in mind are you able to try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead? Is this an issue in those browsers as well, or can we focus on investigation on the Edge browser only? Thanks for the additional info!

So I just tried Google and it was fine. (I use Edge just because that was on the computer when I got it. Maybe should just stop and switch to Google …)
As far as the browser not working, it completely froze my computer and I had to shut it down and restart it.
