cloning/duplicating existing website

  I would like to clone or duplicate my existing website which is for an event and create a new one for this years event.

  I need to keep the old one live as a reference point and I would like the new one to have exactly the same look and feel but obviously with content changed so it is relevant to this years event.

  For the original website I bought a theme (soundcheck) and we made a lot of effort to create a website we liked with many tabs, pages, images, posts etc. and I want to sure everything will be transferred across.

  Is it possible to do a direct copy of a website on wordpress.com – I have found a lot of tutorials for wordpress.org but that is not so useful in my case. Is it as simple as buying the theme again for my new site, exporting everything and then uploading it?
