  Hi,

  I want to close my account so i can move my new one to my correct email address however there is no option to close or delete account. Please advise?

  Hi,
  With WordPress.com, blogs can be deleted, but accounts cannot. To free up your email, replace it with a throwaway email in the WordPress.com account you wish to close.

  Here are the steps for that:

  Log out of your current account, then log into the old WordPress.com account. Go to Account Settings (https://wordpress.com/me/account) and replace the email listed with a throwaway one (Yahoo or Gmail, for example). When you click the Save Account Settings button, there’ll be a message saying that there’s a pending change and to check your inbox for confirmation. Check the inbox of the throwaway address and click the confirmation link in order to confirm the email address change.

  After that’s done, log out and then log into your current WordPress.com account. Go to Account Settings, change your email address, save changes, check your email, and click the confirmation link.
