  I click on the link and it takes me to a page that says:

  Close account
  Account closure cannot be undone and will remove all sites and content.

  To close your account, you’ll need to contact our support team.

  And that only takes me to another forum post request.

  @beyonddef I think I see the problem. Another user owns some upgrades, including a domain, on a site that is on your account. Do you want to be removed from that site? Or are you the other user, and did you intend to get rid of the domain and what not as well?

  I don’t want to be connected to that site. The owner has decided not to use it as well.

  If you want to leave a .wordpress.COM hosted blog that you did not register under your username account but have been made an official user of by way of invitation you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog

  Were you made an official author on the other site? If so you can delete your content yourself before you leave. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#author

  If the answer is no, then you will have to ask that person to remove your content from their site knowing they do not have to comply with your request.

  Hi there,

  It looks like you were removed as a user from that site a few hours ago, so you should now be able to close the account from your account settings page, as explained above.

  If the site owner also needs help with this, they’ll need to contact us directly themselves.
