  We haver moved our site from being hosted at wordpress.com to hostgator. I would like to cancel the account/site at wordpress. (We have moved all the content). I am hoping that doing so will not affect our website running wordpress on hostgator. Is that correct to assume? Thanks. Ed

  Hi Ed –

  Yes you are correct. The free site at WordPress.com is no longer connected to your Host Gator site, unless you set up a redirect of some kind.
