  Hi, thanks.

  It is exactly the link I followed the first time. It brings you to a page that asks to contact the support team to close the account. However, the request to close the account is actually posted on this Forum.

  I think something is broken, no ?

  Are you clicking on the “Get help” button on that support doc? You should be able to close your account at https://wordpress.com/me/account

  That’s what I’m doing.
  After clicking, you arrive on a page and in the bottom, you have the link “Close your account permanently”. When you click, you arrive on another page with another button “Contact Support”. However, after clicking on that last button, a form appears. The fields are “Subject”, “How can we help?” and the “Ask in the forums” button.
  So actually, when you try to close your account, the whole process brings you to this Forum.

  That’s odd. I assume you’ve cancelled any upgrades? I’ll add a modlook tag to this thread which will alert a member of staff to reply and check your account and see if there is a reason why staff assistance is required.
