  Hi There,

  This link is from the support pages and explains fully what it means and how to close the account:

  Close Your Account

  Closing your account means that all of the sites under your account will be deleted, all of your data will be purged and your user name will be shutdown. After 30 days the action will not be able to be reversed. Make sure you are sure before closing. :)
