Each time I close my account, I get this error: “Sorry, there was a problem closing your account. Please contact support.”

I don’t know if that’s because I have premium themes activated.

We are unable to close the account for you. Please sign in to WordPress.com using a different browser to see what happens. I think this might be an issue with your caching. You could also try clearing the cache:

I don’t see anything in the account that would prevent it from being closed.

I just tried again – this time on Microsoft Edge and I’m getting the same error: “Sorry, there was a problem closing your account. Please contact support.”

The domain registration insidesiralexfergusonstand.com was still attached to your account, despite expiring many many years ago.

I have removed that, and now you should have no trouble closing your account following https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/
