  I want to close my account but for some reason, ‘getting in touch’ only gives me an option to post a question to the public forums.

  Please help :)

  Hi there,

  Closing your account deletes all of the sites you own and all their contents. After a few weeks, the data will be entirely purged from our system and at this point the process cannot be reversed.

  If still, you want to close your WordPress.com account, you can close it from the bottom of your Account Settings screen:

  Every time I go to close my account and click on the link at the bottom of the Account Settings screen it says “To close this account now, contact our support team.”

  Hi there,

  If you do not see the “Close your account permanently” option, this means you have an active plan or domain on your account. You can cancel/delete these through the Manage Purchases section of your account.

  If you still have plan active on your site, then why do you want to delete the site?

  Hi @arymarfavi in this case, your site was on a Business Plan. If we revert so you can close it, you will likely lose data. We will not be able to get it back for you. So you’ll want to be sure you’ve downloaded images and any text you need.

  Can you confirm it’s okay for us to proceed?
