If you want to delete your site, this page explains how to do it:
https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/If you go to Manage > Settings > General and scroll down to Site Tools you can choose to delete your site (including its domain name) permanently if you want to start afresh. You will receive an email about this. If you change your mind about deleting the site then you can reply to this email within 30 days to bring it back; otherwise it will be permanently deleted.
Make sure you’ve cancelled any purchases!If you click on your profile picture (top right), then click on Account settings (left), scroll down to the end of the page, there’s an option to ‘Close your account permanently’.

Hi there,
Your account is locked because there is a pending chargeback fee for a renewal payment you disputed in 2017. You will need to settle that fee to unlock your account before you’ll be able to close it.
If someone posts here to close their account, chances are they’ve already tried following those instructions and saw a message saying they should contact support. That means there’s an issue on their account that needs to be resolved first, and only staff can tell them what that is, so please mark requests like this for our attention.

I will make sure to spread my utter contempt for your abhorent company, whose upper management is surely bailing out by now considering how DEAD blogs are, all over my social feeds.

Support can’t close a site while there’s a chargeback open. It’s best to simply ask for a refund instead, though it’s been a few years now so we can’t do that anymore. We’ll check with our billing to see if anything can be done now.
But if you want to set the site to private so it’s not publicly visible anymore, I believe you can still do that here:

@lesamisdelissa please go ahead and try closing the site / account again now if you’d like, or you can make it private instead in case you want that address / name again in the future.
