  You can permanently close your WordPress.com account from the bottom of your Account Settings screen:

  You can follow the steps here to close your WordPress.com account:

  Close Your Account

  Note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites associated with your WordPress.com account and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from WordPress.com’s servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding. Any comments you made on other sites under this username would not be deleted – you would need to contact individual site owners to have any comments removed.
