  When attempting to close my account, I receive this message: ‘This user account cannot be closed while it has active subscriptions.’

  Can someone please assist?

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  Hi there,

  Prior to closing your WordPress.com account, you must cancel any active WordPress.com plans or upgrades from the Purchases section of your account.

  By following the directions on your Account Settings page (https://wordpress.com/me/account), you can permanently close your WordPress.com account.

  Please note that you will lose all the sites you own and their contents when you close your account. Within a few weeks, the data will be removed entirely from the system, and at this point, this cannot be undone.

  Hello,

  Thank you for your response.

  I could not locate an option to cancel an active subscription from the Purchases section.

  Can you please assist?
