  Hi there,  

  Prior to closing your WordPress.com account, you must cancel any active WordPress.com plans or upgrades from the <a href="https://wordpress.com/me/purchases“>Purchases section of your account.  

  By following the directions on your Account Settings page (https://wordpress.com/me/account), you can permanently close your WordPress.com account.  

  Please note that you will lose all the sites you own and their contents when you close your account. Within a few weeks, the data will be removed entirely from the system, and at this point, this cannot be undone.
