  Clsing an deleting a wpcomstaging site need help from a Staff member. You must wait untill one of them is online.

  @socialsafe It looks like socialsafe.wordpress.com was not downgraded to the Free plan properly, and it prevented you from closing your account.

  I’ve downgraded the site manually, and now you should be able to close your account by following the steps outlined here.
