  You can permanently close your WordPress.com account from your Account Settings screen, https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/

  No you can’t, tried it. Not possible from the settings screen. I hate wordpress so much.

  Hi there,

  This is because you have a site, americanslackerpodcast.wordpress.com, that used to be on the Business Plan and with plugins installed. That site cannot be deleted as part of account closure unless it is first reverted to a regular WordPress.com site.

  This process will cause all content you added after enabling plugins on the site to be lost, so I need your explicit confirmation before I can do that. Once we revert your site, you will be able to close your account.
