Close to signing up for Premium account?

    Hi,

I’m considering signing up for the yearly subscription premium plan and I had a few questions?

    1) Does the 24/7 support team designed to help create your website to best attract traffic and offer suggestions/advice?

    2) With the custom domain name, is that a http://www.domianname.com or http://www.wordpress.domainname.com?

    3) Will the site be hosted for free through wordpress as opposed to a godaddy?

    4) Does the subscription have to be paid up front for a year or can it be broken down monthly?

    5) Are discounts offered on premium plugins?

    Thanks,

    Josh

  • Hi there,

    1) Does the 24/7 support team designed to help create your website to best attract traffic and offer suggestions/advice?

We can’t design the site for you, but we can show you how to use the various tools to build it yourself. Also, we’re always happy to provide suggestions and tips on how to improve your site.

    2) With the custom domain name, is that a http://www.domianname.com or http://www.wordpress.domainname.com?

It’s a proper domain like the first one you mentioned. You can read more here:

    3) Will the site be hosted for free through wordpress as opposed to a godaddy?

All the WordPress.com sites provide hosting. The Premium you’re interested in provides 13GB of storage space.

    4) Does the subscription have to be paid up front for a year or can it be broken down monthly?

All upgrades and renewals can only be paid a year in advance. There’s no monthly payment option.

    5) Are discounts offered on premium plugins?

That depends on the plugin’s author. You’ll need to check each plugin’s site to see if there are any offers.

Also, note that in order to use plugins on WordPress.com, you’ll have to upgrade to the Business or eCommerce plan:

    Plugins

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

    HI,

Thanks so much for the reply! Are all wordpress.com accounts now have to be upgraded in order to use plugins? Reason I’m asking for clarification, I have another wordpress account I use for another business and its hosted on godaddy.
Or is this something for new users?

Lastly, do you offer a free trial demo on the premium accounts?

    Thank you!

    Josh

  • Are all wordpress.com accounts now have to be upgraded in order to use plugins?

Plugins are exclusive for plans Business and eCommerce so yes, if you’d like to use plugins on your site, you’ll want to consider upgrading it.

do you offer a free trial demo on the premium accounts?

You can purchase any plan you’d like to try and, if you’re not happy, you can cancel and obtain a refund within the first 30 days. Bear in mind that if you register a custom domain, you could only opt for a full refund during the first 96 hours. After that time, we could only refund the cost of the plan minus the cost of the domain.
