  I would like to close my WordPress.com account and then open a website with the same URL in WordPress.org. Will closing my wordpress.com account affect opening the wordpress.org site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  – WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different from each other and exclusive. You can read more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  – About closing your WordPress.com account, remember it cannot be reversed, the username will not be available again.

  – About your URL/Domain name, you can point your domain name to whichever site you wish to, as long as you own the domain name. You can keep your domain name at any domain registry and point it to any site you wherever you host it.
