    How to shut down mywebsite.wordpress.com to give way to mywebsite.com?

    Hi there!

    It looks like you recently purchased the domain crevamp.com for your blog crevamp.wordpress.com. Then, it looks like you pointed crevamp.com to point to a Bluehost-hosted site. Is that correct?

    Can you explain what you mean by “give way to mywebsite.com”? Currently, when I visit crevamp.wordpress.com, I’m redirected to crevamp.com.

    Yes, that is correct.

    I just want to get rid of crevamp.wordpress.com

    When I search in google for crevamp it only shows crevamp.wordpress.com rather than just crevamp.com

    So I want to stop that from happening

    Hi!

    I understand. WordPress.com has no influence over how your blog address appears in Google search results. This is likely just a case where Google hasn’t fully indexed your new domain yet since it’s so new.

    As you continue to publish new content, we constantly ping search engines to re-index your site. Over time, the crevamp.wordpress.com address will get pushed out for crevamp.com.

    For now, the search results may read crevamp.wordpress.com, but visitors will be directed to crevamp.com!
