Hey iancorson,
Sometimes it can take extended periods of time for a refund to be fully processed. For credit cards, it can even take up to 2 billing cycles before you see the refund on your statement.
This thread has been tagged with “modlook,” so a Happiness Engineer will be here soon to confirm the refund from WordPress.com’s end.
If it has already been processed by WordPress.com, you may need to contact your financial institution for more information on why the refund is being held. For more information on WordPress.com refunds, please check out this support site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
If you have any more information for us, such as which plan, or which domain you processed a refund for, let us know in this thread. Remember, if you are refunding a domain, it may be impossible to get that name back.
I hope this helps! Stick around, and a Happiness Engineer will be here as soon as possible to investigate further!

Hi –
We processed the refund of $35.88 on 2017-06-13 . At this point, you’ll need to follow up with your financial partner regarding the funds. They will be able to tell you when they are going to deposit the money in to your account. It can sometimes take up to 1-2 billing cycles. They will also be able to tell you exactly how the refund is going to be listed on your statement. Some banks do weird things, and they don’t even create a new line for your refund, rather they just remove the original charge as an example. I hope this helps.
