  Just followed the instructions here, and I’m writing to report that it republished all my posts in a way that meant RSS subscribers got all my posts ever in republished in their RSS readers suddenly. I’m hoping that people subscribed to get a new email each time I post won’t get them all again.

  That’s rather odd. Most RSS readers don’t show posts marked as Updated.

  Was your blog content previously imported from elsewhere?

  If they are subscribed to the COMMENT threads instead of the posts, then I guess this would be the natural reaction.
