  Hi. I’d actually like to close this blog, as I will not be using it right now. How do I do that? Thanks!

  Howdy,

  Your best bet would be to set your blog to private at Settings -> Privacy. That way, only you (and any users on your blog) would be able to view it. You could make it public later, if you wish.

  If you really want to delete your blog permanently, you can do so at Tools -> Delete Site.
