  Are you talking about this specific WordPress.com account that you are currently logged in to? What error message do you see after following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/

  Hi,
  I’m trying to close my Bluehost/wordpress website, shown above, because of health reasons. The site is two years old but was never activated. I never thought it could be this hard to get rid of. I’d like to maybe build another site someday……but right now I hope I live long enough to get this off my list. THANKS SO MUCH!!

  So, despite the title of your thread, you don’t actually want to close this WordPress.com account you are posting from currently? You want to close down a site/domain hosted elsewhere. This is the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. WordPress.com and BlueHost are two completely different places. Surely you need to be approaching BlueHost for advice.

  Thanks for getting back, For some reason Bluehost won’t let me log in. Maybe it’s because I started at wordpress closing everything. I’ll keep working at it, Thanks for your time….
