  I accidentally made my entire account private. can I close it and restart using the same name and login details, under different privacy settings?

  Hi there,

  Closing your account is not a good idea because once you do that, you will never be able to use the same username again.

  That said, there are no privacy settings for accounts. You can only set as private your site and, if you did that, you can easily change it as explained here:

  https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/
