Closing account

  I’m trying to close my account but can’t seem to find a way to do it. There’s a never-ending circular loop on the website that ultimately leads to the forum. Please help.I have tried the link at the bottom of the account page.

  Hi there,

  In order to close your account and site, we need to downgrade your site.

  We must confirm that you understand:

  1. Any content (pages, posts, media, comments, etc) added after adding outside themes and plugins will be lost.

  2. Any custom content created by plugins and themes will not be carried over.

  3. Plugins and third-party themes can no longer be used.

  4. The site will revert to using the old theme.

  Please make backups, and ensure you have your content ready to re-upload if needed. We can proceed once you’ve confirmed.

  Thank you for the reply. Yes please proceed with cancelling this account. There is no website to backup: https://wordpress.com/home/arthritiskidscoza.wpcomstaging.com

  Thanks for confirming! We’ve reverted your site to arthritiskidscoza.wordpress.com and you should now be able to close your account by following the steps here – this is not something we can do for you:

  Close Your Account

  Note: This not only shuts down your username, it deletes all the sites associated with your WordPress.com account and all their contents. After a few weeks, this data will be entirely purged from WordPress.com’s servers and the process cannot be reversed. Therefore, please be certain you want to cancel your entire WordPress.com presence before proceeding.
