Closing Account

I would like to close my account or detach myself from an old dormant blog I used to belong to. How do I do that? I am hoping to start fresh with a new screen name and blog.

If you want to leave a .wordpress.COM hosted blog that you did not register but have been made an official user of by way of invitation you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog

To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog that you registered you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site.
