  Hello,

  Please also note that WordPress.COM accounts cannot be deleted, this is to keep anyone from registering the same username in the future. If once you change your email you’d like to deactivate your account here are instructions:

  1. Go to My Account->Edit Profile, remove all of your data aside from the account name and an email address.

  2. Next, create a new email address to use for the account (one that you won’t use for anything else) and update the account to that email address.

  3. Finally, visit http://www.thebitmill.com/tools/password.html and generate a password between 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it.
