I emailed to close account, disputed it with pal pal you never responded after numerous messages then sent one saying if I withdrew paypal you would refund due to $20 fee for cancel that never happened so you screwed me out of 99.00 I have attempted to cancel my account to avail!! Please acknowledge and close my account! I never was able to use it in anycase!!

thanks for your response I tried that and for a month No one has replied which is why I finely went to forum. No idea what their issue in not responding is business is business. I just want my account closed because of this hassle. Anyway thanks for passing it on hopefully someone in service wakes up and reads it. J. Hoefer

The chargeback case has been closed, so we were able to refund the $99 back to you. It will take up to 10 days for the refund to reflect on your account.
Since we don’t want other people to have your username in the future, we don’t delete usernames (they are kept so they cannot be recycled). For more information, please see this link below:

Here’s a few suggestions for you if you’d like to scrub the account:
1) Empty and delete your sites:
First of all, be sure to empty your sites of all content. You can find out more about how to do this here:
Next, delete the site following the guide on this page:
Please be aware that this is irreversible!
2) If you are trying to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block Emails”:

3) You can also go here to remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This will only leave the username behind:

https://wordpress.com/me/profile4) To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:

5) While you cannot completely delete your Gravatar profile, you can remove all of your profile information easily through the “Edit My Profile” page here:

You can also hide your Gravatar profile from external access. Visit your profile page (click your name in the top navigation of the website), then click the “Hide My Profile” link in the bottom, right-hand corner.

Hi: for some reason following directions is not letting me delete this account everything is blank but account still pops up can you do this? Whatever I am doing is not working. I followed your directions but everything is already blank. thanks

Accounts cannot be deleted, but they can be scrubbed of any personal information that you had associated with the account. Was there anything in particular that you were unable to scrub?

no everything is gone so then its ok I just want to be sure it is taken off the auto bill
