closing account

    I think I set up this account mistaking it for wordpress.org with which I just started building a website through bluehost. Deleting this account will not affect that one, true? Thanks.

    Having a WordPress.com account is still beneficial if you want to leverage Jetpack on your site (which provides site stats, security, out-of-box customizations, and so much more). You can connect it to your WordPress.com account to get more out of it. See more here: Connecting Jetpack to WordPress.com

    That being said, if you don’t want to take full advantage of what Jetpack has to offer it looks like the URL above is all living at BlueHost, so closing your account shouldn’t have a negative affect.
