Closing account without access to email address

Is there anyway I can close an old blog if the email address that the account was linked to has been closed and cannot be accessed?
People who are subscribed to the blog are getting spam to their accounts so I would really like to close it, but I am not able to log in (username/password not working). -

I posted because I want to delete the blog, but I the username/password combination I have does not work, and the email account that the blog was registered with no longer exists so I cannot access a new password that way.
