closing an account

Does anyone have any idead how to close a wordpress account? i want to start from scratch.

You cannot delete or close an account, but you can delete a blog on your account, but do realize that once you delete that blog, you can never get that URL back (blogname.wordpress.COM). It is gone forever.
If you are happy with the blog URL that you have, you can just delete all posts, pages, links, etc. that you have added and then start again.

I should also note that you can start a new account and just abandon the old one, but it will require a different email address. Each account here has to have a unique email address.

but the whole reason why i want to shut down the wordpress blog is so i can have my real name instead of the old one.
my account wont allow me to change my e-mail either so i can’t create a new one because my e-mail is attatched to this account. this is why i want to delete it.
i deleted my three blogs so i can start them up on another account after i shut this one down. but is it possible for me to create those logs again with the same url in my new account.

And no, once you delete a blog, that URL is gone forever. No one, not even you can get them back. There were clear warnings about that on the delete blog page and also in the confirmation emails.

You can always just change the nickname displayed with your account. You change that on your Profile page, and then save it, then go back and select it from the drop-down menu and save again. That changes the name displayed on the blog, although not on the forum.

i’d like to start those blogs again on a different account on wordpress… :(oh man! I’m really sorry for wasting your time. but thanks for your help.
i’m amazed how on top of things wordpress are in people’s enquiry.i’ve already been in contact with staff enquiry about e-mail and accounts.
