closing an account

  I want to close a subdomain account is that going to cause my main account to be closed also.

  Hi there,

  Are you perhaps referring to a site instead?

  “Account” refers to your WordPress.com username, mrgrantham79. Closing a WordPress.com username account is done from account settings, and completely disables the account, and deletes all sites you own.

  If you just want to delete a single site in your account, click on My Sites ->Switch Site, and select the site you want to delete. Then go to Manage ->Settings. The Delete Site option is at the bottom of that page, and it will only affect the specific site you’re deleting.
