Closing down my site

    I would like to close my site completely, but still be able to use my email address.
    Will shutting down my site affect my email?

    Can you tell me what email address and site you’re referring to?

    The account you used to create this forum thread was last used eight years ago, and only owns an empty site at http://zoedellismakeup.wordpress.com/ on our free plan. You’ve never owned any domains with us, which would be a requirement to use a custom email address.

    If you have a site hosted at another provider, you’ll need to contact that hosting provider directly for help with this. But generally a custom email address only requires a domain. So in most cases it should continue working fine if you take your site offline, as long as your domain remains active.

    But this might also depend on whether your email account forms part of your website hosting plan, or whether it’s a separate add-on on top of your hosting. Only your hosting provider can answer that for you.
