  Hi there,

  Closing your account deletes all the sites you own and all their contents, this process cannot be reversed.
  If you want to delete just a WordPress site: https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/
  You can permanently delete your WordPress.com account from the bottom of your Account Settings screen: https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/

  However, there are alternative options rather than deleting your site like changing your site address, making your site private etc. Here are more details given https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/#alternative-options
