Closing my site

    I do not use my site anymore – how can I close it down?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi rburd2014,
    You have 2 main options.

    1) Login and delete all content on the web pages. Leaves the site address active.

    2) Login to the site on WordPress.com and close down the account.
    Visit your WordPress Dashboard page.
    Click “My Blogs” on the left menu.
    Click on the name of the blog you want to delete.
    Click on “Tools” on the left menu.
    Choose “Delete Site” on the left menu under “Tools”
    From the next dropdown, select “Permanently delete the blog and all content”

    For anyone else who may see this thread in the future I think it is worth pointing out that the information provided above only applies when using the classic wp-admin dashboard. I think the majority of WordPress.com users would need to follow the instructions found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
    Although I see:

    burdsiview.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.
