    If i close my account can I still the website name on Wix?

    Hi there,

    As you have cancelled the domain registered with your account, it will be released back into the public pool of domains in about 5 days. At that time it could be bought again by anyone, including yourself for use at another host like Wix.

    If you let the domain fully expire you may close your WordPress.com account and it will have no effect on the domain.

    Alternatively, we can restore the domain to your account ensuring you retain ownership and allowing it to be used at Wix sooner.
